The Globe serves to inspire inquiring minds with presentations and exhibitions on cutting edge scientific and technological discoveries. These events require access to light and dark on demand, a considerable challenge gave the volume of natural light present in the space.

Our love for the core scientific and innovative values ​​of the European Organization for Nuclear Research (CERN) makes this project an incredibly satisfying project. We collaborated with our customers to design a custom frame system, and while retaining the original glass, electronically switchable smart glass was installed on the curved skylight and central vortex of The Globe. Now, with a light touch, darkness will come, making lighting demonstration possible. The architectural integrity of this unique and groundbreaking building will not be compromised at all, and the application of this innovative technology is consistent with the customer ’s reason for existence.
